Some things I enjoy or find useful and think others might enjoy or find useful. Please don’t be offended if we disagree on the enjoyability and/or usefulness of a particular entry. Listed in no particular order1.
Items marked with a “+” are exceptionally high-quality or otherwise distinguished among the other members of their category, in my view. (In a few cases this refers only to the immediate reference class relevant to that item and not to the entire category. Sometimes they are just things I have a strong personal preference for.)
Some sections are alphabetized but I haven’t been consistent about this so far↩︎
As far as I can remember, I have not seen the original cut of season 4, only the Netflix “remix”; despite the mixed reception, I think that on the whole the last two seasons are at least as strong as the first three in most respects↩︎
As far as I can remember, the English dub on Netflix is not very good; prefer the original German audio with subtitles↩︎
not that I disrecommend the later seasons, but I have not seen them yet↩︎
I seldom use KDE anymore, for several reasons, but it’s generally a robust and well-designed desktop environment. I recommend it over GNOME, even for people new to Linux. I have experienced nontrivial performance issues with it, including crashes on certain hardware, but these have been fairly infrequent. I’d advise new users, unless they plan to do a lot of searching for files/dirs in Dolphin, to disable the Baloo search indexer; fd, fzf, and ripgrep are fast enough for most use cases.↩︎
I no longer use this, but formerly did for quite a while, and was pleased with its quality and ergonomics.↩︎
I have used this very little myself, but it’s still interesting enough to be worth mentioning↩︎

my favorite variety is the Chipotle - Roasted Garlic - Toasted Onion mixture↩︎
